Managing Members shall include businesses, academic institutions, healthcare systems, and non-profit organizations who agree to commit at least $20,000 in each of the next five years to support the work of the Fund. Reading Health System, as the founding Managing Member, will contribute $200,000 in each of the next five years to support the Fund. Managing Members shall serve as the officers and Executive Committee of the Berks Alliance.

Funding Members shall include those governmental agencies and quasi-governmental agencies that provide financial support for economic development, community improvement and workforce training. Funding Agency Members shall serve in an advisory role and shall have no vote on Board funding decisions.

Community Service Members are those community service agencies that contribute at least $5,000 a year for the next five years to support the fund and which may provide services to the community. Community Service Members would have a vote on initiative business matters. The Board of the Alliance shall be comprised of the Chief Executive Officer or Senior Level Executive from each of the participating organizations.
